Some Friends Are For Life

With 100's of forwarded messages running around mailboxes about friends , friendship ... we tend to take it for granted and just pass it on as a habit or just laziness. Recently i saw a forward ( or so i thought ) ... an old friend from 11 th 12th standard college , had mailed after 7 yrs , it didnt have any hi's hellos ... just a couple of para's with couple of friends pictures here and there like in those forwards ... during 12th , this guy was in utter shambles with drugs , alcohol and little chance of a great future ... i clearly remember , 4 months before 12th boards , during a group night out for studies , this guy came to our place ,explaining how he is ruining his own life . We spent next couple of days helping him out to gain enuf confidence to atleast go for his boards and try to stay off substances for atleast these 4 months ... he somehow managed to do it , joined us regularly in study groups and managed to clear boards just :-)

We were happy about the outcome and the guy thanked us all and left for future studies suddenly , we never heard of him where he went , what he did ...

After 7 years , we get an email saying ,
"Today Im the most happiest guy in the world . I have a great job in Automotive industry here in US , a great salary , now a wife . Ive been volunteering whenever possible in Alcoholics Anonymous and a Drug Rehab Counselling Centre. Ive been clean last couple of years and doing well. Thanks for the effort you and the guys put in those 4 months , God knows where i would be today if it werent for you guys ... I cant thank you guys enough and cant wait to meet you all if i come down to India or you guys come to here .
Friends come and go, You call some good freinds , some great friends , some ok friends and some friends for the sake . I was in the last category for you guys but still u guys did everything possible .
You guys Saved my life ... I cant say anything more than THANK YOU".

What more can I Say , this makes a nice Forward :-)

Working , Nothing Else Sadly

Life has been Hectic for which im solely responsible . The only entertaining thing to have happened is to have recieved a marrige proposal...Sadly folks , i have said No :-/. The remark i got from the pundit who was the mediator , A Hindu guy from UP , 24 and doing business and earning money , Beta Abhi Nahin to Kab Shaadi Karoge , LMAO :-)

No more guitaring in a band , no more gaming for hours , No more fun and masti like it used to be. Only thing im sticking by is NASEOH . That is something i always love to do and intend to do for a long run.I can spare couple of hours in helping someone change their lives for the better, whats more rewarding than that.

Finally my journal is now being distributed to 6 Asian countries :-)
What a struggle it has been , learning the rules of trade for all these countries, modes of shipments and the problems associated , payments to be made in local currency to be converted and transferred to my account in Indian rupees via a bank in New York - all the hassels and brainstorming with CA's so that i dont have RBI or CBI knocking on my door asking - Paisa kidhar see aaya ;-)

Now Im planning to distribute the journal to Pakistan and China , 2 countries which seems so inaccesible . And trust me ... they really are . Our trade relations with both countries are quite complicated and seems impossible to work. Ive been endlessly trying to figure out if its even possible to trade with these 2 countries . Dealing with Pakistan is somewhat scary with many rules and regulations , permissions , checks on every step of the deal. China is an unknown territory with a big language barrier but a huge market and intrestingly it is much more open and accesible than one would think.
And for sure i will create more headaches if i even think about entering in these 2 countries , it will be some challenge if i take it on ;-) ...

Finally , got 2 clients in Boston and Virginia ... looking forward to a trip to Uncle Sam country next Year. All my US pals , here i come :-)

I Rock Rocked

I Rock rocked again this year . It took place on the 1st and 2nd Oct. Both days were cool , the 1st day was better in my opinion

1st day

Prestorika didnt come , instead there was Bhayanak Maut :) , they did lamb of god and slipknot ... great set . Moshing was in full swing with fire breathers and all around .
then came vertigo , sledge , joint family and HFC . the competition was won by vertigo but did they deserve it ???

Then came vayu with their classics hendrix , zepplin and deep purple ... great set as very few bands plays classics
Next up was ZERO . did a lot of OC's and zero rocked as always

Day 2

Demonic Resurrection was 1st up and the crowd was ready for some fun ;) , many of the newcomers and no clue junta got shoved aside and the wall of death , headbanging , moshing started in full swing . these guys are great with their death metal OC's .
AFS was next joined by PDV members , did sabbath and RATM , ok set
Next up , PDV . as always , the metalheads were out in full swing. good set but honestly , not the best
Sceptre did Ocs and metallica and slayer covers , good set
Then came the real pros . people like Nandu Bhende , Ryan Mendonca and some other joined them.

Then was Farhad Wadia and gary lawyer with their usual setlist for all years :) . but they did a great set and it was totally enjoyable .

This maybe the last I ROCK as Farhad Wadia doesnt want to do the organizing and go thru the whole bullshit of government and police domination . lets see if he changes his mind or somebody else takes over .

All in All , I Rock Rocked :)
